We've seen temperatures over 100 degrees on the West Coast. Parts of our Gulf waters are unsafe to swim in due to red tide. Our neighbors are developing asthma in response to unbridled industrial pollution. It's clear that we simply cannot wait to act on behalf of our planet. We owe it to our fellow humans and all creatures great and small. May all generations to come experience the joys of hiking in the mountains, smelling blooming jasmine in the breeze, watching manatees swim, and gazing at breathtaking purple sunsets.
May we all have clean water to drink, pollution-free air, bearable temperatures, stable infrastructure, less energy consumption, and fewer natural disasters.
But how? Some wonder what just 1 person can do to help. A lot.
There are nearly 8 billion of us on Earth in the human family. If we all made a pact to act, the smallest of actions would have a ripple effect.
Analyze your daily routines and consider alternative methods of living that are sustainable, clean, cost-effective, energy-efficient, and considerate of your fellow humans.
The goal is to ensure we have a future in sync with nature, not fighting against it and destroying its beauty and gifts.
No matter your background or salary, you can make a difference.
